Weekly Challenge & SLYMI

I managed to squeeze eight layouts out the May Kit before all the papers were used up. So, for once, I actually did the weekly challenge as a paper layout and followed it up with Scrap Like You Mean It #22.

SLYMI was a minimalist sketch, so I was able to use up the final largish piece of paper. I do love 'white space' layouts.

Subscribing

After a lot of umm-ing and ah-ing I decided to sub to a scrapping kit. Then I spent a while looking for something that I knew I'd enjoy - it actually didn't take long to decide to go with Sarah's Cards. First kit arrived last week and I've now used it all up! Well, all the papers - I still have loads of embellies to play with!

Here's a few layouts that I've done with it:

Both of those are Forde Abbey in Dorset.

Beer Festival

Yet another weekly challenge done digital:

The challenge was to use feet in your layout, something round, something pink and some ribbon. All boxes ticked here, I think! :)

Pocklington Ducks

Another one for a weekly challenge over at UKS.

We had to do the layout based on packaging, film poster of book cover. This is the adapted cover of The Visitor by Sherri S Tepper. Something transforming, so I chose Ducks growing up! Also spring colours and gold - tick and tick! :)

Pensford

More catching up. My parents and I took a trip to Pensford - I think it was last year! - these are the layouts for that trip:

Mmm... tuna light lunch.

The tour bus - we had free cereal bars afterwards as Pensford is owned by Jordans, the cereal bar people.

Brilliant tree-art, metal caterpillars and butterflies.

John Layouts

A few old layouts. This bunch all feature my Other Half!

Our fabulous barbecue with homemade rosemary kebab sticks - yum.

An inter-team layout from our early days as a team. I'm not really sure I like it. :(

Cambridge Botanical Garden.

Forde Abbey Fountain

This weeks UKS Challenge:

Had to use the colour emerald, bling, poetry and movement. Obviously I can't make a movable digital layout, so I chose a picture featuring movement - a fountain.
