dream

Made this using kit that I won from the Scrummy Stash Cafe in their CyberCrop. Have used Pink Paislee - Office Lingo Collection, 'Outside the Box'. Sasafrass Lass - Life is Beautiful, 'Piccadilly'. Prima - Harmony Collection, 'Lil Melody'. Also used some of the buttons, ricrac and journalling stamp that I also won.

Love the ladies at the Scrummy Stash Cafe!

The picture was taken in the gardens of Shakespeare's house at New Hall. There was a series of sculptures based on his play. This one was the most obvious - A Midsummer Nights Dream. I have pictures of Hamlet and Macbeth that don't really resemble the plays at all!

I didn't have the right photos printed out for this one, so I decided to go Digi again.
Royal Theme - Edinburgh Castle.
Something Shiny - glass flower from Free Digital Scrapbooking.
Something Yellow - as above!
Something New - the background paper (Tomboys Rule: Green Weave) is my lastest Freebie from ScrapGirls and therefore the newest digi thing I have.
Use circles - I chose to use Shabby Princess Wooden Brads.

Other digital items:
Still Life Paper from Jenny's Scrapbook Place.
Stitched photo corners - Free Digital Scrapbooking.
Stitching by Mel's Lightbulb Moments.

Nutmeg

Layout for the latest Samm's Sketch Challenge at the Scrummy Stash Cafe. I had to flip the sketch because it looked better with the way Nutmeg was facing!

Pencil Lines #98

In Prickwillow at the Fen Drainage Museum in July. An actual summer day! Amazing...

Duxford

My take on Maria's Class at the Scrummy Stash Cafe Blog.

I've used Crate Paper Blue Hill and my paints are acrylics rather than the watercolours that Maria used - so my clouds are a lot brighter!

Bought myself some shiny new Primas and decided that I wanted to use them all at once! :)

States

Some red brick buildings in Boston and New York. I've just ordered myself a whole bunch of new flowers, so I thought it might be an idea to use up some of my old flowers before starting in on the new stash. :)

August Week 2 Challenge

{Page 1 - click to enlarge}

{Page 2 - click to enlarge}

I don't put digital LOs up on my UKScrappers gallery because they take up too much room and I really want all my paper creations togther in one place. So, I decided that the only way to do the challenge this week was to do it digi and put it up here!

Five things that are hot at the moment - I chose Apple (always hot, but I so want an iPhone and/or an upgraded iPod), the Olympics, The Dark Knight, my ticket to the extremely hot Hamlet (although it's probably David Tennant that's hot, but we weren't allowed to use people!) and finally... the Sun! The Sun is always hot, but this month we're just not seeing enough of it. :(

Something hot in Scrapbooking - as I chose to do Digi, which is all pretty new to me, I decided that the hottest thing in digi for me at the moment is making my own elements. So I've included buttons that I made myself from scratch.

No people or landscapes - done

Double LO - done (my very first deliberate attempt at a DLO in either form)

Bridges

Made this for Angie's Challenge on the Scrummy Stash Cafe Blog. The challenge was to use eyelets and I've never used this many eyelets on one layout before!

Me

Created for Maria's Challenge on the Scrummy Stash Cafe blog. The challenge was to create a project that described you in 5 words. I chose to do a LO and the words I have chosen are Geek, Bookworm, Student, Geology and Collector.

Used Crate Paper, Blue Hill and this is the first time that I have painted on chipboard. Messy!

Night

This layout is created for Vanessa's Sketch Challenge at the Scrummy Stash Cafe. I never have enough pictures for multi-pic layouts, so I decided to use flowers instead of small pics. I then misjudged the sizing - so it doesn't look too much like the sketch. Still, the sketch was the inspiration!

Thanks, Vanessa. :)

Rain @ Pensthorpe

This one is for Angie's Class on the Scrummy Stash Cafe Blog. Her class involved paper piercing, which I'd not tried before. Usually when I pierce paper it's to give my stitching a starting-point. It doesn't show up too well in the picture, but I became a little carried away and pierced the flower as well as the outside edge of the cardstock, the scallops and the patterned paper. :)

Duck @ Pensthorpe

Ruddy Duck!
Created this layout for Rachael's Class at the Scrummy Stash Cafe. The class was all about adding depth and dimension. I didn't have any sequin waste so I stamped my background on using bubble wrap! Used 7 Gypsies and Crate Paper, Blue Hill papers.

(I think the duck is a Ruddy Duck, but please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.)
